MSP Tips and SuggestionsMSP Stock NumbersAre you aware that the MSP Program designates different letters to different types of accounts? Because of this, dealerships should refrain from using the letters R, P, D, C and L in their stock numbers. For instance, let's use the stock number 7405. When a repo is done, MSP automatically creates a new stock number of R7405. This is the case with Deposits (P7405), Deferred Downs (D7405), Cash Downs (C7405) and Assumptions (7405L). If these letters are used at the outset of buying a vehicle into MSP, various issues will arise.
